Easy Sauteed Turnips
Turnips
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Cut the ends off the turnips and peel the skin off with a carrot peeler. Slice
them thinly. Heat a large fry pan with olive oil and butter. Add a single layer of
turnips and cook both sides until crisp. If the turnip slices are stacked too
high, some of them will not cook through completely which tastes chewy and
that's less desirable.
